Bahman Niko, born in 1962, is a painter, architect, and university professor with more than five decades of activity in the field of visual arts. He is one of the well-known and influential figures in contemporary Iranian art. He began his artistic career at the age of 18 and over the years has created lasting works in the fields of painting, architecture, and education. Niko holds a master’s degree in architecture and has participated in numerous architectural projects in Tehran and other cities in Iran.
Using watercolor and acrylic techniques and styles such as real, surreal, and photoreal, he creates works that make the audience think. His favorite subjects include still lifes, Iranian villages and architecture, flowers, winter landscapes, portraits, and surreal compositions centered on animals.
